8 Useful Resources for Big Brother Africa Fans
Big Brother Africa is the African version of the Big Brother reality game show. For those unfamiliar with the show, it’s a reality TV show that involves “a group of people living together in a large house, isolated from the outside world and continuously monitored by television cameras”. Each series of the show lasts for about 12 weeks with 12 to 16 contestants from 12 different countries entering the house. The countries involved are (Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia & Zimbabwe) with two countries (Ethiopia and Mozambique) being added in season 4 and two other countries (Liberia and Sierra Leone) being added in season 7. The show is co-produced by Endemol South Africa and the winner takes home $300,000. While the African show might be different from the format in the USA, UK or anywhere in the world, it is still part of the huge global brand.
